Instructor(s): Vinay Viswanbharan/Delphine Khanna, ESRI
* Laptop required for hands-on component
Attend this session to learn how best to process and analyze your imagery in ArcGIS Online. ArcGIS Image for ArcGIS Online is a SaaS offering that empowers you to manage, visualize, and analyze imagery collections, eliminating the need for infrastructure. Using ArcGIS Online, you can host your imagery in the cloud, then render it as imagery layers in maps and apps and use it to perform advanced image processing and analysis. ArcGIS Online provides you with a collection of tools and raster functions to enable rich image processing and analysis workflows, including radiometric correction, time-series analysis, feature extraction, advanced pixel-based mathematical operations, and terrain analysis. Demonstrations and hands-on exercises will cover the following:

  • Hosting different types of imagery as both tiled and dynamic imagery layers,
  •
  • Sharing this imagery with users inside or outside your organization,
  • Performing various types of analysis, including classifying pixels and extracting features like roads and building footprints using deep learning.
These capabilities will be demonstrated through intuitive user experiences in ArcGIS Online’s Map Viewer, and through ArcGIS Notebooks, which leverages powerful APIs to code and automate customized workflows.
